The Association cooked and served shrimp for 150 of our troop that had returned from Iraq.

Money donated by docks, boats, and the public  made this possible. It is just a small way of showing our appreciation.

Good News for the American Shrimping Industry and the American Consumer

Proposed Shrimp processing plant-South Carolina Shrimp Processing and Seafood Company- coming to South Carolina next year.  This will save one industry and bring another Bio Tech industry to South Carolina.

Hopefully, next year you will be able to go to your local grocery store and find 100 % American (mostly SC and East Coast) Ocean Caught Shrimp ready to cook in the freezer section.  You will be able to see on the package-product of the USA and not be reading packaged in_______________.   Many imports are packaged in the US.

This processing plant wants to help the American Shrimper.  The plant will not deal with imports so the consumer will not have to worry that imported pond raised shrimp are being mixed with our domestic shrimp and then sold as American.

This will help save our shrimping industry that has been seriously damaged by the foreign pond raised imported shrimp, and make it so you the consumer can have top quality American Ocean Caught shrimp year around.
